As your therapist, I hope to provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel free to just be yourself. My therapeutic approach is to provide empathy, support, and feedback through honest and authentic communication. Collaboratively, we will discuss goals and establish a treatment plan that will help us effectively address the challenges and barriers in your life. I utilize evidence-based therapy modalities, as appropriate, to support my overall approach. Ultimately, my hope is that our therapeutic relationship would help you to function at your best in your environment.
One thing I have come to learn over the years, both personally and professionally, is that no one is exempt from challenges that arise in life. Sometimes, we are able to cope with these challenges alone or with support of family and friends, but sometimes we need something more. Therapy can be a place that helps you to uncover the strengths you already have and learn new tools to help you deal with these challenges that arise.
I specialize in working with individuals and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, work stress, perfectionism, life/role transitions, relationship issues, identity issues, and loss.
I am trained in the following evidence-based practice modalities:
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy
Interpersonal psychotherapy
Solution focused therapy
Seeking Safety
Gottman method (completed level 1 clinical training)
Certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator
